I met Mitch a few years back through Rodney Dillard. Mitch Jayne was a awesome man to know. I remember back stage during Mayberry Days in Mt Airey lisening to some of his storeies, in the begining you were on the edge of your seat and by the end you were in stiches laughing. Mitch your going to be missed but I know Heaven will be a better place with you there. I was so honored to have met him and all the Darling boys. Just learned of Mitch Jayne's passing and am incredibly saddened by the news. I grew up watching TAGS and have several CDs of the Dillards -- I'll listen to them tonight in memoriam.

I saw the Dillards many times in person during the '60s in SoCal. They were very popular with young people at that time. I have a very warm spot in my heart for all of them.
