For Release: Immediately

FLORENCE, Ala. - Florida and California film makers won the Golden Lion best of show awards Saturday night at the 3rd annual George Lindsey/University of North Alabama Television & Film Festival, which had drawn 32 entries from six states and Canada.

Festival founders Dr. George Lindsey, of Nashville, Tennessee, and retired UNA journalism professor Bobbie Hurt, of Florence, presented Stephen Root, the star of King of the Hill and Ladies Man, a Golden Lion medallion for being the featured artist for this year’s festival.
