LINDSEY TV/FILM FESTIVAL EXTENDS ENTRY DEADLINE

FLORENCE, Ala. - University of North Alabama alumnus and entertainer Dr. George Lindsey, of Nashville, Tenn., announces that the fourth annual George Lindsey/UNA Television and Film Festival has extended the entry deadline to February 1, 2001.

Festival coordinator Lisa Darnell said the deadline, originally set for January 15, 2001, is being extended because of the recent holiday season which delayed some participants in getting their entries submitted. Entries should be of movies, documentaries or music videos completed in 1999 or 2000. Entry fees will be $50 for professional and faculty entrants and $25 for students. Awards will be presented on Saturday night, April 21, 2001, at the 4th annual George Lindsey/UNA Television and Film Festival awards ceremony.
