LINDSEY TV/ FILM FESTIVAL OPENS ENTRY REGISTRATION

FLORENCE, Ala. - University of North Alabama alumnus and entertainer Dr. George Lindsey, of Nashville, Tenn., announces that the fourth annual George Lindsey/UNA Television and Film Festival is now open for entry registration.

The categories are professional, faculty and student. The professional and student categories include full length narrative (under two hours), short narrative (under 30 minutes), short documentary (under one hour) and music videos (three to five minutes). The faculty category is for open submissions (under two hours).

The non-refundable entry fee for each submissions is $50 for professional and faculty and $25 for students.

Only videos or films completed in 1999 or 2000 are eligible for competition. Submissions will not be returned. Each entry must be on a VHS cassette tape. Entries should be accompanied by a completed entry form, a synopsis of 50 words or less of the entry content, a 45-second film clip (for possible use during the awards show) and the entry fee. The entries must be postmarked by the deadline of January 15, 2001 to be eligible for awards. Awards will be presented on Saturday night, April 21, 2001, at the 4th annual George Lindsey/UNA Television and Film Festival awards ceremony.
